"About six years ago I went for a physical to qualify for an insurance policy. The doctor conducting the exam discovered that I had serious irregularities in my heartbeat and strongly advised me to go to my regular doctor as soon as possible. This was alarming news to me as I’d never had serious health problems before and thought I was totally healthy--I played tennis regularly and was a fairly active for a 45-year-old. A few days later I went to my own doctor for an exam – he immediately referred me to a cardiologist who conducted the normal exams and stress tests, etc. I was told that I needed to have more tests – further discussion indicated that I might need a pacemaker.
"At this point, let me provide a little background. I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, before moving to Jacksonville about 15 years ago. I met Dr. Bruce Dooley when I went to his clinic in Ft. Lauderdale for treatment. He immediately struck me as unique because he was incredibly more creative and attuned to current research than any other doctor I had met (I work with many doctors in my profession). Over time we became friends and maintained our friendship after I moved to Jacksonville. The more I got to know him, the more impressed I became at his true desire to heal and his frustration at the close-minded attitudes that exist in the U.S. for any methods of healing outside of the routinely accepted prescription for labeled conditions. On numerous occasions – then and now – he has discovered causes and cures for people I know (including most recently my father, who had a condition that went undiagnosed by specialists for over 5 months).
"Because the realization that I actually had heart problems was so alarming, I called Dr. Dooley and explained my situation and what my local doctors were proposing and suggesting. His immediate response was that before pursuing the pacemaker path, I should be tested for mercury toxicity, as he knew I had “silver” amalgams in my teeth for years prior to having them removed the previous summer. He explained that mercury could very well be the cause of my irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), and unless we tested for that first, we would just be treating the symptoms versus the cause – and if mercury were the cause, it would continue to destroy my immune system and my health while the pacemaker simply regulated my heartbeat.
"At Dr. Dooley’s urging, I took the special test for mercury called the Provoked Urine Challenge. The results were shocking – my mercury levels were extremely high! Dr. Dooley recommended that I begin detoxification immediately with DMPS. After going through the treatments for a couple of months, my heartbeat went back to normal – and it’s been normal ever since.
"When I went back to my local doctors and told then about my mercury diagnosis and cure, they dismissed it entirely. Meanwhile, if I had listened to them, my pacemaker would have regulated my heart as I quickly wasted away. I truly believe I would be dead today if not for Dr. Dooley and his real commitment and caring – I could say nothing stronger. This same commitment is what drove him to create MercOut so he could make people around the world aware of the unknown but widespread “new silent killer.”
"I hope you will take my story seriously and that it will motivate you to be tested for mercury – whether to be sure your health is not unknowingly being ruined, or to identify and treat this problem that may be causing your poor health like it was mine."
